Blackboard FAQ
- Make sure you are using the correct login credentials. Your username is your student number, and your password is the one you previously set. Pay attention to case sensitivity and ensure you are not pressing the space bar while entering your password.
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies. Stored old data in your browser's cache and cookies may prevent you from logging into Blackboard. Check your browser's help page for instructions on how to clear them.
- There may be an issue with your browser. Try using a different browser and see if the problem persists.
- Restart your computer. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve the issue.
- If you still cannot log in after trying the steps above, send an email to TLC@ieu.edu.tr, including your student number. In your email, explain the issue in detail and mention the steps you have already tried.
Password update procedures are handled by the TLC center. You can visit the TLC center or send an email to TLC@ieu.edu.tr, including your student number and your newly chosen password.
When setting your password, make sure to follow these rules:
- It must be at least 12 characters long.
- It must include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one punctuation mark.
- It must be different from your previous passwords.
- It should not contain Turkish characters or personal information.
If you need support regarding issues with OBS, you can send an email to obsdestek@ieu.edu.tr for assistance.
If you can't find your course in Blackboard:
- Make sure you are officially enrolled in the course. Check your enrollment in the course through your Student Information System (OBS) account.
- If you have thoroughly checked and still cannot find the course, send an email to yom@ieu.edu.tr, including your student number and the course you're having trouble with.

Send an email to tlc@ieu.edu.tr with your student number, the course name, and details about the assignment you're having trouble with.
After uploading your assignment content, make sure to click the Submit button. If your assignment is still not uploading after clicking Submit, send an email to TLC@ieu.edu.tr with your personal details, the course name, the assignment name, and a screenshot of the error you encountered during the upload.
Go to the My Grades section in your course menu on Blackboard and click on Submitted. You can check your upload in the list. Additionally, you will receive an email to your university student email confirming that your assignment was uploaded successfully. You can check this email to be sure.
You can contact the relevant instructor for your course. For technical support, you can email TLC@ieu.edu.tr or visit our center.
You will have access to your course materials during the academic term of the course. Slides/documents from past semesters will not be available. In urgent cases, you can contact the instructor for your course.
To access Panopto videos on your tablet or phone, you need to download the Panopto app. After downloading the app, click on the three dots at the top right corner. In the Site field, enter panopto.ieu.edu.tr. Once you log in with your Blackboard credentials, you can use the app.
Try clearing your browser's cookies or switching to a different browser. Google Chrome and Firefox are recommended browsers. If the issue persists, please send an email to tlc@ieu.edu.tr with details about the issue.
You will have access to Panopto videos throughout the academic term of your course.
Due to GDPR regulations, downloading is not allowed. Therefore, you can only view your course video recordings.
Go to the Online Sessions section in your course menu and click on the session created by the instructor to join the class.
Right-click on the certificate section in the ISG course menu on Blackboard and open it in a new tab. From there, you can save your certificate as a PDF.

Instructors have office hours, which you can find in the course menu on Blackboard. You can also send a message to the instructor via Blackboard or OBS.
