As the Teaching and Learning Center, we offer a variety of events and training sessions both for our faculty members and students.

In addition to those events, we also take part in institutional projects. The organization, monitoring and reporting of the following programs were carried out by our center.
Keeping pace with personal and professional development in the Information Age is possible through access to continuously updated skills and knowledge. At Ekoeğitim-TLC, we have designed Micro-Credential Courses under various topics to meet this need. Our short and focused course content aims to help you quickly enhance your competencies in specific areas.
The Micro-Credential Courses developed by Ekoeğitim-TLC with contributions from field experts focus on specific skills, offering flexible and goal-oriented learning opportunities for our students as well as academic and administrative staff, enabling them to adapt to a busy professional and academic schedule. Participants who complete the courses will have the opportunity to earn digital badges. These badges certify the competencies you have gained, supporting your professional journey and allowing you to showcase and share your achievements across various digital platforms.
Academic and administrative staff at our university are required by law to complete the Occupational Health and Safety Training and obtain their certificates. With the support of our center, all personnel can periodically access the relevant training content, complete the exam, and receive their certificates through the Blackboard Learn learning management system. IUE students also complete the Occupational Health and Safety training on the said learning management system and obtain the certificate necessary for their internship.
The year 2021 was announced as the "Disaster Education Year in Turkey" by the Ministry of Interior. Within the scope of the 2021 Disaster Awareness Training Protocol between AFAD (Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency) and our Rectorate, the "Disaster Awareness Training" materials were made accessible on the learning management system to all our students, and academic and administrative staff.
Within the scope of the "Zero Waste Project" led by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, academic and administrative staff were informed about the Zero Waste Project and the practices carried out in our university. The training materials were made available through the learning management system, and the organization, monitoring and reporting of the following programs were carried out by our center.
As İzmir University of Economics, we aim to enhance the digital competencies of all our members and continue to be a pioneering university in Turkey in this regard. In line with this goal, we have planned and successfully conducted KUIKA Designer and Builder training sessions for our academic staff, administrative personnel, and students. Through the KUIKA Low-Code Platform, even those without a programming background can develop their own solutions using a graphical user interface without needing to learn lengthy and complex programming languages. Users can develop web and mobile applications using drag-and-drop methods and can publish the applications they have developed. After the completion of the KUIKA training, we are starting to work on launching a platform that will be actively used by all our academic staff, administrative personnel, and students to promote and sustain the digitalization process.
